Some quick facts about me:

• I live in Ottawa, Canada with my husband, two young kids, and an adorable fluffy 70-pound lap dog named Frankie.
• I’m a civil engineer and enjoy making science experiments with my kids. 
• Winter hiking is the best and you cannot change my mind.
• I am a serial creative.

How did I get started in this world of children’s literature?
It all started when I was on maternity leave with my second child. I used to take my kids on daily hikes through the forest, sometimes as long as 10 km. On these hikes, my toddler and I would make up stories about magical creatures and mystical forests and whimsical lands. I started putting these ideas down on paper and before I knew it, I was writing actual children’s picture books!

How is my author journey going?
I self-published my first book, The Magical Forest, which was such a great experience for me. I met so many helpful people along the way and learned a lot about the industry. I’m currently writing in any spare time I can find between my engineering job and being a mom with the goal of continuing to publish more children’s books.
